RISSA
Polynesian/Australian artist RISSA is quickly establishing herself as a leading emerging R&B/Soul artist in Australia and beyond.
Since the start of her career in 2019, RISSA has used her time wisely to carefully craft her sound, audience and creative process — reflected in wins like her debut EP Made To Feel, which has gained over 30 million streams online and sold 200+ vinyl copies nationally and internationally since 2023.
She's released collaborations with the likes of ONEFOUR (AU), Urthboy (AU), and Katus Myles (UK), with radio support from Triple J, Nova, 2DayFM, FBi Radio, BBC 1Xtra, CADA and more community radios across Australia, the UK and US — alongside playlist wins on Spotify (New Music Friday AU & NZ, R&B Connect, R&B Feels, Fresh Finds R&B) and Apple Music (New in R&B, New Music Daily, ALT R&B, Brown Sugar).
RISSA's most recent success comes from her sophomore EP WHERE LOVE ONCE WAS (released October 24, 2025), which has received acclaim from platforms including Life Without Andy, Rolling Stone Australia and 2DayFM, and is played across multiple Australian, UK and US radio stations — currently sitting at over 600K streams on DSPs. The EP continued its run on the road as RISSA toured Australia, filling out live music venues in Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney in March 2026.
As RISSA claims her place as one of Australia's leading R&B artists, she's also seeing notable international audience growth — averaging a US audience of over 40,000 active monthly listeners, a UK audience of over 10,000, a Brazil audience of over 7,000, and Canada and South Africa audiences each matching at over 5,000 active monthly listeners.
Behind the statistics, RISSA is actively working with strong international collaborators — LA-based producers and songwriters Brasstracks, Kasey Phillips and Luthersson, and London-based producers and songwriters ADP, Kojey Radical and JSTRNGS. Though currently based in Sydney, Australia, RISSA has begun incorporating annual trips to both LA and London to strengthen her ties to the US and UK music industries and build her catalogue with international talent.
The positive trajectory of RISSA's career is exciting to watch — as she continues connecting with her audience at home and overseas, she's set up to be one of Australia's finest vocal talents, praised globally.
