ATHANASIA

ATHANASIA is a fiercely independent artist from Sydney, blending neo-soul, disco and pop into a lush, timeless sound. Known for her candid lyrics and raw, diary-like storytelling, she draws on influences ranging from Amy Winehouse to Olivia Dean.

A graduate of a Bachelor of Music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, ATHANASIA was named the Australian winner of the global Martin Garrix x JBL competition in 2023, flying her to Amsterdam to collaborate with Martin Garrix and other international artists. She was also the subject of JBL | Be Heard, a five-part YouTube documentary series exploring her writing process that drew over 1 million views.

She's since become the first artist selected for Ground Floor, UNIFIED Music Group's new accelerator program for independent Australian artists ready to take their next step. Her music has been played on Triple J and FBi Radio, and she's performed on the MainStage at BIGSOUND 2024 and Rolling Stone House x SXSW.
